Specifications:
Endo-PASS is a mineral material completely biocompatible thanks to its bioactivity promotes the repair of the dentin. In fact, when used as a material for direct and indirect pulp capping, it induces a reaction that leads to the formation of dentin repair that favors the maintenance of the vitality of the pulp. Endo-PASS is easy to use and requires no procedure of preparation of the surfaces, it does not need any type of adhesive and it shows excellent sealing properties in order to avoid the risk of bacterial penetration and thus ensuring the absence of post-operative sensitivity and relapse. The mechanical properties of Endo-PASS greatly exceed those of mineral cements based on aggregate of Portland cements, making Endo-PASS particularly suitable as endodontic cement in combination with warm gutta percha and for endodontic reparis (perforations, internal or external resorptions, apexcifications, retrograde filling). The eventual extrusion of the concrete beyond the apex promotes the healing bone, or, in the presence of bone defects, apical, allows the rapid formation of new bone tissue. Endo-PASS can also be used in the coronal part of damaged teeth , as material for the direct and indirect pulp capping, for the repair of carious lesions deep in pulpectomie. Endo-PASS can be coupled to any technical adhesive / composite in order to finalize the definitive reconstructions even in the same session, making them extremely durable and aesthetic. The mixing of the Endo-PASS leads to the formation of a paste of creamy appearance with hardening reaction that starts immediately after the dust comes in contact with water or other biological fluids (saliva, blood, clevicoral fluid and dentin).
This process (hydration reaction) initially produces calcium hydroxide and other silicates thus resulting in an alkaline environment (about pH = 13) strongly antibacterial. Hydration of the various silicates in the formulation depends on the principal physical, chemical and mechanical. To influence the development of these properties, in addition to the ratio of tricalcium silicate and dicalcium silicate, is the presence of zirconium oxide and phyllosilicates of cationic and anionic surfactants, which encourage greater strength of the cement due to a more efficient distribution of moisture. It is also present a refinement of particle size which is particularly cared in the present preparation. In fact, a more concrete end has a greater specific surface area and therefore greater speed of hydration. Most speed cementation is also demonstrated by NMR analysis. The presence of barium sulphate in the formulation determines the necessary radio-opacity without presenting toxicity.
